Joe’s Seafood Set to Arrive at the End of JanuaryBy Rina Rapuano | December 17, 2013 By Rina Rapuano | December 17, 2013
Downtown denizens have a new place to broker deals over a juicy steak. A DC outpost of Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crabs is expected to open late January, offering a roster of grilled meats and seafood, including Gulf of Mexico stone crabs and classics like a surf and turf.
The mini chain is based on the 100-year-old Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami, which partnered with Lettuce Entertain You Enterprise in 2000 to bring the concept to Chicago and later to Las Vegas. This is the third location of Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crabs.
The DC Joe's, located in the former Union Trust building, will offer lunch, dinner, brunch, happy hour and late-night dining. Aside from the steak and crab, other signature dishes Washingtonians have to look forward to are Key lime pie and fried chicken.
