Art and Soul hosts a Biscuit Bash Wednesday from 6-8 PM to open its patio for the season. The event features a battle between chefs from five local restaurants - Menu MBK, Vidalia, Rappahannock River Oysters, Jackson 20 and BlackSalt - to see who can make the best biscuits, with the public voting for the winner. There will also be cocktails by Mockingbird Hill, freshly shucked oysters from Rappahannock, a whole roast lamb, live bluegrass and an appearance from chef Art Smith - all to benefit Hospitality High School, a local program for kids interested in the hospitality industry. The Grill Room at Capella Georgetown executive chef Jakob Esko has tailored a menu to pair with Quintessa Vineyards wines for a special four-course wine dinner held Thursday at 6:30 PM. The dinner, which will include such dishes as diver scallop carpaccio with cucumber, radishes and soft goat’s cheese and bison strip loin with wild-mushroom ragout, black truffle and spring peas, costs $180 per person excluding tax and gratuity. The RAMMY finalists vying for the Beer Program of the Year award will offer an evening of promotions Thursday night to show off why they were nominated. Birch & Barley/ChurchKey will host a Surly Brewing Co. draft and cask takeover starting at 6 PM; Brasserie Beck will host an all-day $10 Antigoon beer and brats special; Granville Moore’s will run specials; Lyon Hall will host a pig roast and BBQ with sides and desserts along with a tasting of barrel-aged beers; and Mad Fox Brewing Co. will conduct brewery tours at 5 PM, 6 PM and 7 PM that include samples of brews straight from the fermenting vessels. The winner will be announced at the RAMMY Awards Gala June 22.

- Jack Rose Dining Saloon hosts events tonight through Thursday, culminating with a Sam Adams clam bake with brewery founder and owner Jim Koch Thursday night from 6-8 PM. That night, you gain free entry to the clam bake when you buy one of the 20 Sam Adams drafts that will be on special for $5 each. Other nights will feature a beer mixology competition, a Cinco de Mayo fiesta and a tap takeover from an Oregon brewer otherwise unavailable in DC. - City Tap House features three nights of events to coincide with Savor, including a Sierra Nevada tap takeover Thursday from 8 PM to close; a Colorado brewers night Friday from 10 PM to close; and a locals-only brunch held Saturday from 11 PM-3 PM, when local breweries will be highlighted.
