You may have heard that local celebrity chef Bryan Voltaggio reopened his shuttered Frederick enterprise, Lunchbox, here in Chevy Chase Pavilion this Monday. It’s a chef’s take on fast-casual, so you’ll find things like a Reuben with seaweed sauerkraut and a sandwich sporting scallion-bacon jam. Here’s what else you can expect from his newest spot in the same shopping center as Range and  Aggio:

Perfect For: Bryan Voltaggio fans and Top Chef stalkers

Dish You'll Gush Over: The Eastern Shore, a satisfying corn and crab chowder

Best Seat: It’s fast-casual, small and busy during lunch hour, so whatever seat you can get.

Be Wary Of: The fact that they are still working out the kinks. It’s fairly chaotic in there, the soft-serve machine wasn’t working and the sandwiches looked a bit beaten up (and skimpy on the meat) when unwrapped.

Good to Know: Street parking is tough in this neighborhood, and the parking garage will set you back $5 (and is pretty packed, as well). It’s really best to Metro here.
