Where to Brunch: Cava Mezze in Clarendon and Capitol Hill

By Rina Rapuano | March 21, 2014 By Rina Rapuano  |  March 21, 2014

Two of the three Cava Mezze locations have started a killer brunch deal - all you can eat for $30 a person, which includes specially priced mimosas for a penny and $2 bloody Marys. As any bottomless brunch aficionado can tell you, a prix fixe menu is a great time to try some of the pricier menu items, like the hanger steak ($10.95) and the breakfast burrito ($9.95). But we have to admit that we’re probably most excited about those penny mimosas.

The Spot: Cava Mezze in Clarendon and Capitol Hill (Sorry, Rockville! No bottomless brunch for you …)
The Gist: Boisterous, homegrown chain that churns out reliable, Greek-inspired small plates.
Eat This: The budget may not limit you, but your waistband might. Start with the popular challah French toast with honey, berries and cream; the spicy lamb Benedict with Old Bay hollandaise; and the gyro hash.
The Scene: These quintessential neighborhood spots reflect the communities they serve, so each one has its own personality.
Know Before You Go: Not a big brunch person? The dinner menu is also available all day.
