Both Jaleo and Pearl Dive have overhauled their brunch menus with tempting results.

At Pearl Dive, new offerings include a sweet potato andouille hash; the New Orleans classic of grillades and grits; housemade donuts like Boston cream and and spiced sweet potato donut holes; and sticky cinnamon rolls with cream-cheese icing and a caramel-bacon sauce. Brunch at this 14th Street NW hotspot is served every Friday (yes, Friday!), Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM-3 PM (202-319-1612).

All three of José Andrés DC-area Jaleo locations debut new brunch dishes tomorrow, including smoked salmon on crispy bread with hard-boiled egg, goat cheese and capers; pancakes made with Spanish extra virgin olive oil; and sautéed rice served with tomato, fried egg and Ibérico pork belly. If you can never choose between savory and sweet for brunch, go with both and end with churros accompanied by a hot chocolate dip. Brunch is served from 11:30 AM-3 PM Saturdays and Sundays (Crystal City, 703-413-8181; Bethesda, 301-913-0003; Penn Quarter, 202-628-7949).
