Because it’s of central location, nearby subways, and many office buildings, NoMad is an area where you probably end up eating more than you realize. And with a few new places, as well as some neighborhood staples, you have a lot of restaurants to choose from.

Vini e Fritti
Italian · NoMad · $$$

Danny Meyer completes a Roman trio (including Marta and Caffe Marchio) with this NoMad wine bar that rounds out its reds and whites by the glass with spritzes, sparklers and digestivi, plus fried Italian snacks, salumi and panini. Soft lighting and black and white photos accent a casual space where the payment is plastic-only, with no tipping.
The Breslin
Gastropub · NoMad · $$$

"Haute comfort food" reigns at this "NY version of an English pub" in the Ace Hotel, dishing up "elevated" , "unapologetically hearty" fare (including a "perfect" lamb burger) to the "hip throngs" ; despite a surplus of "attitude" , most find it "worth" the "steep" bill.
Marta

Food 4.4 · Decor 4.0 · Service 4.1

Another "stunner" from Danny Meyer, this "happening" Italian in NoMad’s Redbury Hotel is known for its "perfectly crisp" Roman pizzas adorned with "first-rate" toppings, but the wood-fired entrees are considered "just as good" ; the "high-ceiling, high-energy" space and "hip crowd" add up to a "noisy" , "fun" time.
The NoMad Restaurant
American · NoMad · $$$$
Food 4.5 · Decor 4.5 · Service 4.5

This "stylish" "trendsetter" in the NoMad Hotel draws a "chic crowd" that’s "blown away" by Daniel Humm’s "superb" American-European menu (the roast chicken is "one for the books" ); "spot-on service" and a "beautifully designed" space spread out over several cozy rooms help distract from the "heavy" tabs.
ILILI
Brunch · NoMad · $$$
Food 4.5 · Decor 4.1 · Service 4.1

"Modern takes" on "traditional" Lebanese cooking come with "creative enhancements" at this NoMad "scene" , where the cocktails are equally "inventive" ; the "cathedral-sized" , wood-lined space is made for "big groups" , but its "nightclub vibe" has "noise" to match (hint: upstairs nooks are "more sedate" ).
Quality Eats
Steakhouse · NoMad · $$$
Food 4.5 · Decor 4.4 · Service 4.4

"Definitely not your father’s steakhouse" , these more "accessible" Quality Meats spin-offs court a "young crowd" with "lesser-known" but "still delicious" cuts of meat, plus "inventive" starters and sides; "chill" settings with whimsical details further the "great buzz."
KazuNori: The Original Hand Roll Bar
Japanese · NoMad · $$

A spin-off of LA’s Sugarfish (which has also landed on these shores), this NoMad spot focuses on its own style of sushi – hand-rolls made with thoughtfully sourced seafood, nori and warm rice, lightly embellished with housemade sauces. Customers line up to order from a check-off menu – which offers single-ingredient and combo rolls, as well as green tea, beer and sake – and can dine along the wooden counter in a cool, minimally done space.
La Pecora Bianca NoMad
Italian · Flatiron · $$$
Food 4.4 · Decor 4.4 · Service 4.1

"Exciting" locavore spins "hit the target" at this all-day Flatiron Italian, where the "delicious" pastas and other "elevated" dishes arrive in an "airy" "country kitchen" setting; "innovative" cocktails boost the "lively" buzz, and the brunch is "not to be missed."
Hanjan
Korean · Flatiron · $$$
Food 4.4 · Decor 3.9 · Service 4.0

"Modern twists" elevate the Korean small plates to "really delicious" levels at this "casual" Flatiron gastropub; "interesting" cocktails and "not-to-be-missed" rice beer add to the "fun atmosphere" – and keep things "lively."
The Smith
American · NoMad · $$$
Food 3.9 · Decor 3.5 · Service 3.7

"Don't expect an intimate conversation" at this "million-decibel" mini-chain that supplies "basic" but "appealing" American grub to "under-35" throngs out to "eat and be merry" ; "especially popular for brunch" , they're routinely "bustling" thanks to "good value" and "upbeat" vibes.
