21st Amendment Brewery & Restaurant
Beer-focused eatery near ballpark
Brewpub · South Beach · $$
“Nerdy tech industry folk, sports buffs” and locals exercise their “right to taste a great variety” of “imaginative” , affordable housemade brews ( “the watermelon wheat is a must-try” ) at this “well-lit” , “industrial” -looking “South Park stalwart” ; service can be “spotty” when it’s “hopping with happy orange- and black-clad fans” on their way to the ballpark, but otherwise expect a “knowledgeable, friendly” staff serving drinks plus “solid” eats; P.S. the alley outside “becomes a beer garden on game days.”

We had a good time at 21st amendment brewery. They have a nice indoor as well as outdoor areas and a fun atmosphere. The service at the bar was very good. We tried pretty much all of their beers, I think they had 8 different beers on tap. We also ate here. The food was good and portions were a good size.

This is one of the better micro brewery places in SF. Been around since about 2001. They usually have a half dozen core beers and then some seasonal or rotating taps. They recently opened a much larger production facility in Alameda (east bay) which has allowed then to increase their varieties and options. Food here is pretty solid most of the time. February is strong beer month ( you have been warned) This place can get overrun during baseball season. I would not try to go if there is a baseball game that day. Other than that, go and get some good food and a great beer, or two.

Great place to grab a beer before a Giants game. Delicious watermelon beer during the summer. On weekends they have a patio in the neighboring alley. Food is pretty good too!
