These "inviting" haunts are home to "hospitable" teams serving "simple" , "delicious" American fare "for everyone's liking" ; the "quaint" original has a "rustic bar" and lots of "Beacon Hill atmosphere" , while the newer Seaport District sibling features seafood and sea views from the floor-to-ceiling windows and harborside patio.

Small Waterside bar and restaurant. Visited on our first night in Boston. Nice selection of food. Great staff who were lovely with our young son. Food was tasty and reasonably priced.

9-9-17 Had reservations for 2 weeks after reading a Google "Top 10 Restaurants" in Boston. Cool atmosphere. Food was between average and above average. Our waitress was wonderful. After drinking 1/2 my glass of wine I felt a rough place on the wine glass with my lip. Hoping that it wasn't a chip, I felt it with my finger and a tiny shard of glass rubbed off a small chip in the rim of the glass. I tried to get the manager's eye and he avoided eye contact. My husband got up to approach him. At about a 4 foot distance, the manager quickly turned his back to my husband and exited to a door that was a "employee only" area. It was very obvious that he was avoiding dealing with us. When the waitress came back she gave us perfect customer service. The manager, (had he had any customer service capability at all), would have found that we were very understanding, and just ask that they throw the wine glass away to insure that no one else could be harmed by the glass. The manager needs some major help with maturity and education about how to appreciate all customers...even the ones who might have a problem. Overall, from this experience, I would not recommend anyone make any extra effort to eat at this restaurant.

Stopped in for breakfast and it was delicious. A really good cup of hot chocolate tied it all together. Excellent view and a great place to catch the first snow of the season.
