For what it is......well done
Nothing fancy but on the water and very informal. Great way to spend a lazy summer day in the sun while enjoying good new England food. No liquor license but they have a liquor store up the road that will deliver to the dock in a golf cart. Very cool. Very large menu of basic local mostly seafood. Also basic hot dog/hamburger selections. Next door is a similar outfit called costello's. Mostly fried food here but all very informal and relaxed. Neither place is overpriced. Picnic tables on floating docks at both places. Typical New England setting. From Maine to Connecticut we find small peninsulas from a few hundred yards to 5 miles or so leading to the ocean. Many of these have hidden gems of food dens ranging from fancy sit downs to picnic tables on docks with lobsters steaming in a vat or small shacks frying some of the best fried clams, clam cakes, scallops, shrimp. Stuffed quahogs will be found up and down the coast. All will be some kind of stuffing(hopefully with chopped clams and seasonings) stuffed into a shell of a hard clam which we call quahogs.
This is one such surprise by the ocean.
Enjoy the food

I took my wife and son for Mother's day and it was for sure the worst meal i have ever had in over 30 years. I could not tell the difference between the broth and creamy style chowder, mussels where full of sand and my wife's lobster roll had three large pieces of shell. The location is very nice but not worth it anymore.

Fantastic seasonal waterfront restaurant.
Lobsters come in many different sizes.
No table service. Order at window and they call your name. Seating is at picnic tables and European style. If it's not full grab a spot.. it's a great way to make friends.
Seating is outside, with covered deck available.
Try the lobster bisque, you won't regret it.
Prices are moderate to high. This is NOT a tourist trap. It has been in business for over fifty years. It's founders were Ernie and Doris Abbott who were very well known and respected in the Village.
A must visit when in the area.
