The "wait" outside this French Quarter "classic" is "legendary" , but so are the "oysters and beer" inside (reportedly "identical to those served in heaven" ), which are bolstered by a “broad menu” of “New Orleans comfort food” ; "tourists and locals" agree that this "vibrant" , "bustling" spot is one of the "best places to slurp" , especially at the raw bar, where watching the shuckers at work is "a show in itself."

Wonderful experience. This place was the best part of my visit. Friendly staff, fantastic cocktails and awesome food. I highly recommend anyone to visit. Special thanks to Terry Lee, Brandon and Leslie (GM). The line was out the door during my visit, but their great attitude and professionalism made up for it.

I just landed in New Orleans and I was looking for some place to eat. My Uber driver recommended that I go to Acme Oyster House. I arrived at the perfect time at around 11:45 when there wasn't a line so I got to go in and chill after walking around in the humid and warm environment. I LOVED the oysters. I also fell in love with the soft shell crab. The jambalaya also was great. I'd love to come here again, I want to eat here every day.

Friendly staff, great food(broiled oystersssss are a must!) And a great price! I couldn't ask for more. Note: There was a line but it went super fast. Don't worry. You'll get in quick!
