The "wait" outside this French Quarter "classic" is "legendary" , but so are the "oysters and beer" inside (reportedly "identical to those served in heaven" ), which are bolstered by a “broad menu” of “New Orleans comfort food” ; "tourists and locals" agree that this "vibrant" , "bustling" spot is one of the "best places to slurp" , especially at the raw bar, where watching the shuckers at work is "a show in itself."

Phenomenal!!! By far the best charbroiled oysters in New Orleans. Well worth the wait. If you get the chance sit at the bar, Pam, the bartender was amazing. She made great Old Fashions for us. Thank you Pam!! If you are visiting the French Quarters don’t miss out on this! The place is very laid back and fun. The music is great. I definitely recommended this place.

THE BEST PLACE for Oysters and Oyster shooters! Lightning fast servers and the best menu in town! Do not think any place in town can come close! Do yourself a favor and make a bee-line for this fantastic establishment as soon as you head out from your hotel to investigate all the great places in the big easy!

If you’re looking for great hospitality and food this is the place for you. I ate here as it was my first time visiting Nola and I’ve never tried oysters. The oysters, both charbroiled and raw, were phenomenal as well as the chicken gumbo. The bread pudding with bourbon sauce was to die for. The staff was super friendly and my food was prepared in a timely fashion. 10/10 would eat here again.
