“Not much changes” yet it “always feels special” at this Park Slope “classic” that earns “Brooklynite love” with its “superb” Venetian fare, “decent prices” and “lively” , “warm” vibe; yes, the “no-rez policy” and inevitable “wait” are a “drag” , but getting into the “wine bar annex” is “easier” – or there's always a “more civilized” , rarely crowded lunch.

Insider Tip
It doesn’t have quite the charm of the restaurant, but Al di Là Vino around the corner offers chef Anna Klinger’s full menu – or just bar snacks – along with an interesting list of Italian wines, amaro and cocktails.

Always a solid neighborhood favorite. We went for brunch late and there was no wait. Al Di La is cozy and the staff is friendly and personable. We shared the white salad which I was eager to try because I heard of someone else eating it and designed my own version of it. It was very hearty since all of the white veggies are raw. I thought the dressing could have been a bit more acidic to balance the raw veggies and there could have been more cheese on it. but I love the combo of all the different textures and flavors. The egg in my baked eggs was perfectly poached and the grilled bread was delicious as well. My dining companion loved his spaghetti Carbonara and they served an excellent side of Italian sausage.

Park Slope Italian food institution. Everything is top notch and across the board excellent. The only problem is that it can be difficult to get a table during peak times. They also have a great wine-bar just around the corner.

Excellent food and classy atmosphere. Can get crowded fast. Nice little wine bar attached around corner on the side street.
