Alba Ray's
Chic Cajun bistro with cocktails & wine
Cajun · The Mission · $$
From the Popson’s and Causwells crew comes this chic Mission Cajun spot offering New Orleans classics (think crispy boudin balls, Creole barbecue shrimp and jambalaya) plus late-night bar snacks and a playful drink list. The design takes a cue from the city as well, with fleur-de-lis art, ornate metalwork and bold tiles.

Oh dear.....let the weight gain begin. This is my second visit here and let me just say it's worth every pound gained to eat all the amazing food served at Brenda's! Ordering the fried chicken is required otherwise why even bother coming right? Shrimp and grits are...I can't even type without salivating about how delicious this dish is but it is just that FABULOUS and everything you would expect for soul food. There's no point in continue to rant on and on about how great this food is. Just come but expect a wait.

Alba Ray's is fantastic Creole. I've never been to New Orleans, so this is the review of a novice, but it's amazingly delicious. The service is friendly. Highly recommend the Sazerac and jambalaya. Be warned that the kitchen is on the slower side so be sure you have time

Some of the best New Orleans food I have ever had, before you come just know that this place is decently pricey but it’s worth it. For the appetiser we had the bbq shrimp and the grilled oysters. Both were small for a party of four but they were still great. For dinner I had ordered the shrimp and grits and immediately I became the envy of the table. I also got to try the jambalaya, which was good then the pork Leon which was just alright. I would definitely come again.
