With its "stellar" Istrian dishes (a blend of Italian, Croatian and Slovenian cuisines), this "unpretentious gem" in North Beach offers a "distinctive" dining experience in an "off-the-beaten-track" locale that's "easy to miss but hard to forget" ; you may "bump elbows" in the "small space" , but it's overseen by "gracious" servers who "make you feel like family."

Everything was fantastic. There were 5 of us 3 adults and 2 children. We each ordered something different and sampled each one. I especially liked the chicken with cherry sauce. It is a small place holding about 40 people... Fresh flowers on the white linen tablecloths. A very special friendly place to enjoy great food.

Food is always fantastic and the staff are lovely. Family favorite, good for either a small group or slightly larger. Staff has the ability to make you feel taken care of and not overly solitious at the same time...has a sense of old world elegance yet relaxed at the same time. Have never had a bad meal or a bad dish.

Our favorite restaurant in the City! It's like being transported to Istria for outstanding food and European-style service. The stuffed squid appetizer is amazing - an explosion of flavors - but having eating my way through the menu twice over the past few years, I can safely say you can't go wrong with anything here! The wine list is short, but has excellent selections to pair with your dinner.
