"How do you say 'wow' in Japanese?" wonder "discriminating" diners smitten by these "luxe" steakhouses with "creative Asian" touches, where beef that "melts in your mouth" and the signature hamachi shots ( "a must" ) are presented alongside "fantastic" wines and "rare" spirits; if you're not a "software mogul" , you're looking at a "splurge" , but "everything is top-drawer" , right down to the "spectacular service" and complimentary "cotton candy upon departure."

The service and food is better than 14 of the 15 Michelin star restaurants i had the opportunity to dine at in San Francisco during 2017. Molly has an unbelievable and extensive knowledge of the menu. Also, Nathan went above and beyond to make sure a first time guest was 100% satisfied. This is will now be part of our date night go to place.

Excellent steak. We tried the exquisite Wagyu here (I believe it was over $100 for 5oz) and it tasted just like bacon! Lots of different dipping ingredients, making it a great steakhouse. It is quite classy here, but not overly classy where folks dress up. We enjoyed the food here along with the aura and would visit again.

We came here for dinner on a Friday night a few weeks ago. Nothing was particularly wrong, but I'm afraid I was not blown away to nearly the same extent as other reviewers here. We were curious to try one of the Japanese wagyu cuts. The result was indeed tender but not nearly as flavorful as we'd expected. The sides we had were also nothing to write home about. Service was professional but lacked warmth. The best thing was perhaps the wine pairing recommendation, which was great. Otherwise for the price involved I expected a bigger wow factor.
