"How do you say 'wow' in Japanese?" wonder "discriminating" diners smitten by these "luxe" steakhouses with "creative Asian" touches, where beef that "melts in your mouth" and the signature hamachi shots ( "a must" ) are presented alongside "fantastic" wines and "rare" spirits; if you're not a "software mogul" , you're looking at a "splurge" , but "everything is top-drawer" , right down to the "spectacular service" and complimentary "cotton candy upon departure."

A friend invited me to Alexander's Steakhouse. I was hesitant as a vegan because... well it's a steakhouse! But the staff accommodated my requests and even gave me and my friend (non-veg) special items just for us. The food was delicious, atmosphere was upscale, staff were attentive and friendly. The food was unique as it was visually appealing.

Ambiance was nice. We had our own space which was nice. Super warm and friendly staff. The hamachi shots were sooooo good. It took awhile for us get the meal course so I wasn’t as hungry and didn’t finish it. I wasn’t a big fan of the dessert either. Overall good experience.

Honestly, I’m disappointed. I don’t know if my knife was dull or my ribeye was tough but my hands are sore from hacking at that piece of meat. The sides were good. The salad was good. The service was excellent. But the steak was mostly fat and gristle. I’m not usually one to complain, especially at a fancy restaurant but I cannot lie.
