Service

In a “neighborhood filled with Italian restaurants” , this “nice-and-easy” UES trattoria holds its own with “consistently good” fare highlighted by especially “excellent pastas” ; seating is “tight” and tabs “pricey for every day” , but “warm” vibes and “unhurried” service help compensate.

For a local Italian establishment that’s been in the neighborhood for ever the food is always excellent. The service is attentive and always at the ready. The food is a classic mix of both southern and inorthern Italian dishes with seasonal dishes always on the menu. They’re known for the classic calves liver with polenta, braised rabbit, fresh fish dishes and a cornucopia of different appetizers. The restaurant really caters to the local community, so a reservation is a must. Definitely a place to try.

I know I'm not in Italy, but damn sure seems like it. Best in NYC. No doubt

Service was so attentive, food and menu choices were very good. Everyone in our party of 8 had something different and all were very good. Only negative was the tight seating and noise level on a week night. Fortunately we got there early but this small place filled up fast.
