Bustling seafood spot with a raw bar

The Zagat Review
A “mainstay” for “consistently excellent” seafood, this SoHo “institution” offers “perfectly cooked” fish and “super-fresh” oysters, plus a “fabulous” brunch; if the “low-key” dining room is “showing its age” , service remains “seamless” and the seasonal patio is a “delight.”

Fun atmosphere and great food! Shareable tapas have great flavor! I go the potatoes, lamb skewers and shrimp. Really good. Also has great cocktails! There was a little of a wait and nowhere to sit so we had to walk around for a bit while waiting but that’s expected on a Saturday night. Overall great experience.

Dined here when visiting NY over the holidays. My husband ate here many times when he lived in NY. The oysters are amazing, and there is a large variety. The red snapper was also fantastic. The service was impeccable. I definitely plan to return the next time we visit NY.

Very good experience here. From the moment you enter its a very relaxed, upscale atmosphere. They start you off with some bread, which honestly was not that good. Then, if you order oysters, they come out first. I'm not some expert on oysters, but they were delicious. Next, the entrée came out. I ordered the Crab Benedict, and it was excellent. Melted in your mouth, and very filling. The only thing is they charged us for sparkling water when it seemed like they wouldn't (kinda like how they offer free green tea at Japanese farmers sometimes). I also found a tiny crab shell in my entree, but hey, that means it's real crab, right? Service was great as well. Consistently had multiple people check up on us and refill our drinks.
