Service

“A far cry” from your average Indian eatery, this “contemporary” UWS duplex showcases “high-end” Awadhi cuisine “innovatively prepared” with “complex” flavors; service ranges from “prompt” to “spotty” , but it’s still hailed as a “gem” whose “flair” is “no longer a secret.”

We were 4 people and went to Awadh last week. We didn’t had a reservation but were given a table for 40 mins (6:20 PM) before the people with reservation arrives. We were rushed through our dinner to finish on time. Food was fine. Everything still felt fine but it was odd that they added a 20% tip by default. We were not even given a good service. I guess 20% is their benchmark to just serve food to the table.

Not bad... small portions, a bit costly all things considered. I think the other reviews are a bit overhyped... much better Indian restaurants in Soho. Lacks bold flavors. Quite simply... average

Decent Food. I come here for their egg curry which very few other have. Place is mostly crowded. Food tastes good. Some of the servers are rude.
