“Different experience” seekers tout these “unsung” , utensil-free Ethiopians where “savory deliciousness” comes in the form of stews scooped up with “terrific” injera flatbread; “somewhat vague” service and “unassuming” settings come with the territory, but at least you’ll walk out awash with cash.

Literally one of my favorite restaurants in New York (there is also one in Brooklyn). Also my favorite Ethiopian I've been to. Definitely get the avocado salad. All the beefs are great. Love the beets and collard greens. Super friendly staff. Ethiopian beer is good too

If your habesha probably not the spot for you. The food is modified for people who haven’t tried Ethiopia food. Things are a bit bland but they do have vegan and vegetarian options. It’s a nice place for a date. Ty some honey wine

Top notch vegan Ethiopian food. Reasonably priced and located in the heart of the East Village’s Indian restaurants. Bathrooms and the bar are small, dining room is quite large.
