Applying “artful flair” to Med-Mideastern “comfort” classics, the Taïm team spins a “gourmet experience” at this NoLita “favorite” ; the space is “cute” but “always packed” , so you may gain acquaintance with your “neighbor’s elbow” , but that’s easy to overlook given such “warm welcomes” and “reasonable” prices.

This was my first time eating at a middle eastern restaurant but I must say I was impressed. I tried a variety of dishes (including the grilled octopus, the hummus, fried olives, the brisket and all three deserts) and it was delicious. I also had the Lilly for my drink and it was amazing. Our waitress (Jessica was her name I think) was great as well. Definitely will be returning.

We were visiting NYC and went to Balaboosta because the reviews were good. The crispy cauliflower was so flavorful! I had never had such tasty cauliflower before. Portions are just enough - not too much not too less.

Brunch menu was great. Got the Mediterranean Platter. Everything was really tasty, although I wish it came with a bit more pita. Drinks were good and good value, although my Bloody Mary would have been great if it had been mixed more thoroughly. My dining partner enjoyed her food, as did I. Saw some of the sandwiches people had ordered off the brunch menu and they looked delicious. Quaint little spot, really great eats.
