Legendary French brasserie & boulangerie

The Zagat Review
Keith McNally’s “legendary” SoHo brasserie “still delivers the goods” with its “magnifique” French fare ( “blissful” breakfast, “oh such wonderful” breads) and atmosphere straight out of “Belle Époque Paris” ; it’s “always buzzing” with “locals and tourists alike” , plus a “celebrity or two” , meaning the “tight quarters” can be a “madhouse” – but that’s part of what makes it “a New York classic.”

Everyone is super friendly and accommodating. Cool dining experience for foodies, exotic choices are delivered by the chefs. Went for a friends birthday and not only did they give us the chefs table without having enough people in our party, but they also gave the birthday guest a tour of the kitchens.... They really wanted to make sure it was special, even though we had some guests show up an hour late for the reservation they didn't mind and were very understanding. The oysters Martinique and Sea Bass is outstanding!

This restaurant is amazing. Food is great, very high quality. The only downside is that it's so popular with tourists is really hard to get a table or even a place at the bar without having to wait for anywhere between 15 minutes to two hours. The steak here is amazing and so are the mussels. Except for the tourists, the place really has a French feel to it, and it has already become a New York landmark.

Had breakfast here with my daughter. It was excellent. Possibly the best eggs Benedict I have ever had in my life. The coffee was ridiculous too, I don't know what they did to it. Only downside they sat us right next to other people even though there were a lot of open tables. I hate when places do that. Very expensive but totally worth it. This may seem like a weird thing but make sure you go to the bathroom. It's eclectic.
