Chef Einat Admony (Balaboosta, Taïm) takes Israeli cuisine to “new levels” at this West Village “standout” , where her “inspired” dishes “showcase the Middle East’s best flavors” ; “tiny” digs and “not-so-tiny” prices are offset by “helpful” service and an “upscale” yet “relaxed” vibe.

I really wanted to like Bar Bolonat, so much, but didn't. I attended a private dinner comma in the lower level, and the food was just OK. It was plated family style, so there was zero effort into presentation. Maria, our server was supremely attentive, so service was good. What wasn't so good, is splitting dishes that were worth about $30, but it's costing $107 per person EXCLUDING beverages or alcohol. At least the company was good ho hum.

We thought this restaurant was wonderful. Michael, the bartender, made great drinks and he was delightful. Charles was the host and treated us as if we were his best friends. The gnocchi, shrimp and cauliflower were fabulous. The short rib was good but not as special as the other dishes. Next time we will get the eggplant.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Great for bringing guests visiting the city or going for dinner with friends. Absolutely delicious food and drinks, super fresh and unique. Would recommend for any occasion!
