This Brentwood American is still a "go-to happy place" for "foodies" , offering “creative" "farm-to-table" fare (including tasting menus) alongside an impressive list of house cocktails, beer and wine; the airy space features rustic wood tables, a 10-seat chef's counter and patio seating, and the tabs remain "expensive, but worth it."

This place has easily the best food in Austin next to Uchiko. Bryce Gilmore is doing amazing things in his kitchen that I’ve helped him to be nominated for a James Beard award. Their cocktails are always unique and perfectly created. I strongly suggest going there for happy hour so you can experience a range of unique options at a lower price point. The restaurant continues in the theme of farm to table With a focus on any creation with incredible eye to detail. Bryce Gilmore is in his kitchen daily and overseeing operations and working as an expo to ensure a consistent quality.

Amazing. The smoked fish salad, broccoli, and mushroom dumplings were our groups favorites. The Tatar with beet and beef fat chips was bland and tasted like hamburgers, but everything else was pretty great. All of the cocktails we had were fantastic , highly recommend tangerine queen . Be sure to have a reservation, there is a wait. Our table took a bit even with the res. But they gave us free champaign since we waited. Service was great.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary not really for sure what to expect. I will say we are not foodies but we were excited to try out a new to us place in the neighborhood. We sat outside and the decor is nice and the wait staff was great. Saying the portion sizes are small feels like an understatement, they are tiny! The food was interesting but not great and I felt like it was overpriced. Also on a side note our waitress explained the menu items could be shared and that they still had availability for the chefs menu that night. It would have been nice to know that one choice was not meant to be shared, it was per person. Needless to say we were pretty shocked when we received the bill.
