Beaches & Cream Soda Shop
Burgers, sundaes & old-timey space
Dessert · $$
You'll feel "transported to the past" at this old-fashioned soda fountain in Disney's Beach Club Resort where the "authentic theming" lends a "'50s diner" vibe; expect American grub like "well-done burgers, fries and shakes" plus the "indulgent" and "legendarily mammoth" Kitchen Sink sundae.

This is a great place to have lunch, especially if you're staying at the Yacht or Beach Club Resort- don't skip it! It's very hard to get a table here, but honestly, the experience is better at the counter. A small party might have to wait 30 minutes, we had a party of 7 and waited a little over an hour - we just hung out at the pool during the wait. If you're staying at the resort, this is something you should plan along with the pool. I went in wearing my swim trunks and a tank top. There is a pick up counter for ice cream, but you'll really want to go inside and sit at the counter for the soda shop experience. The place has a great 50's style feel with a juke box and oldies playing. The waitresses are full of personality and very helpful. Whenever someone orders a sundae called "The Kitchen Sink", flashing lights go off and they all give a little speech. The same happens for birthdays. The hamburgers are very good quality and cooked fresh. The desserts are great and portions are huge. The pricing for the food quality and portions are better than the closest alternative on the other side of the pool along the Boardwalk at Hurricane Hanna's.

got to love this place. I am lactose intolerant and guess what??....this place has options for those of us as well to enjoy some amazing ice cream fantasy deserts! don't wait to reserve a table here...this is no joke...so many families try to just stop by assuming they can eat their without a reservation because they are staying at the hotel but end up never getting in without a reservation. they do have a "take out/to go" section with limited menu.

The staff at this establishment were unwilling to remedy our groups 30 minute wait. We arrived at the location 20 minutes early just to be safe, and more than 50 minutes later we found ourself still outside. Not one single cast member came out to apologize for the wait or attempt to make the situation or the day better. Eventually my group just left. This place is definitely not worth your time. Not to mention we waited 4 years to try this place. Thoroughly disappointing experience.
