"Great for brunch" but "even better for date night" , this "cute" Uptown "gem" is "warm and cozy" with a "locally sourced" New American menu that's "cool" and "imaginative" , paired with "wines and cocktails that are out of this world" ; though not inexpensive, it's "fine dining" that delivers "consistently good value" , bolstered by a "knowledgeable" , "personable" crew.

This was only our first visit, but we instantly found a favorite restaurant. Two of us shared four small plates. Every bite seems like the best thing you’ve ever eaten. The house crafted sodas are designed for the adult non-drinker/designated driver, not the “big gulp” crowd. Don’t be afraid of the Lardo Toast; but dear Lord save room for dessert. You’ll be glad you did. The staff is friendly and engaging; very attentive at all the right times without hovering. The dining room is intimate (small) with high ceilings and an atmosphere leans heavily to the chic side of shabby chic. It’s a place for a date or couples night, not a family gathering. Dress is casual. You’ll want to make reservations. Parties of more than 4 will need some serious advanced notice. There is a small parking lot directly behind the restaurant, but the large lot next door is off limits.

We went here for dinner thinking we were going to some place special for really good, healthy food. The staff was great at helping us since I didn't make a reservation (oops). I didn't realize how popping this place was. I've only heard a little about it. We got there and were ordering food and the waitress was a little less than helpful since we didn't really know what to expect as far as portions and whatnot. We ordered some appetizers and some meat. We got some beet thing that was pretty salty. I don't even know what anything was called because it was that fancy. Obviously I need to learn how to yelp better...sorry! We also got a duck dish, a fish something and then lamb. Everything came out super salty. I usually don't drink much when I eat but I think I had about 5 cups of water to help wash everything down. I had to drink water after every bite. I'm pretty sure my tongue was raw the next day from how salty the food was. We don't like to be rude so we finished all of our food and then left but we had to go to another restaurant to get food because we were still hungry. I won't be going back.

My family took me for my birthday. We had a fabulous evening. The staff is pleasant and attentive without hovering. The food selection was creative and diverse. The star of the show was the drinks. Excellent cocktail creations. My son was driving, so he opted for their house made sarsaparilla cola and it was a winner. The waiter brought out a sparkling wine to toast the event, and remembered that my son wasn't drinking and brought him a cucumber thyme drink to toast. It was delicious and very thoughtful on her part.
