"It's worth the wait" and "extra weight" insist fans of the wares at this "cute" Mission creamery and bakeshop, where the "ridiculously creamy" scoops in a variety of "witty and unique flavors" are "gourmet as gourmet ice cream gets" ; there's "limited seating" , but "friendly" staffers manage to keep "round-the-corner-lines" moving and gladly offer "samples" , while impatient types can always "grab a pint" to go or "try the soft-serve window instead."

A big tourist spot in San Francisco. Ice cream is great, but not out of this world. I just got to try Bi-Rite. The line was long (usually 20-60 minutes) depending on when you go. It's a big tourist destination, so if you're a local, you may want to just snatch up a pint of it from the supermarket next door and take it home. The flavors are not bad - we did a tasting and ended up trying 3 of them. However, they were not out of this world. They were comparable to Brigham's and Ben & Jerry's. My #1 choice is still Brigham's as their cookies/cream wasn't out of the ordinary. It's worth trying once, or on a hot day when visiting Dolores Park.

Hey, it's ice cream! They make their ice cream in house and it shows. If there is a line, it is worth the wait (relax, it goes pretty fast). You'll find all the favorite flavors, but with a unique twist. Maybe even something new you didn't know could even be a flavor, and lots of seasonal flavors. They let you try the flavors so you can make the perfect choice. If it's not perfect... get back in line and give it another whirl. They also offer hand-packed ice cream in various sizes for sale. Very eco minded and community based.

We got the honey lavender and the orange cardamom, they were both amazing! Creamy and flavorful but not too sweet, delicious. The young man behind the bar was very friendly with all the customers even though it was quite crowded.
