The Zagat Review
The “wow” -worthy Emilia-Romagna dishes are “clearly made with love” and a “fabulous bargain” to boot, making this cash-only NoHo Italian “gem” well worth the “tight squeeze” ; no reservations means there’s “definitely a wait” , which those in the know spend “next door at the wine bar.”

Just when I thought about catching up on super overdue reviews of some of my favorite places...HOW COULD THIS PLACE BE CLOSED?! By far the best italian place I know in NYC!!! I've brought so many friends here and they all love it too. The wait is well worth it (since no reservations are allowed), and the drinks are so good at their sister bar next door. Everyone who works there is also super friendly :( Best of all, the food...amazing and affordable - kind of like if you were having a family dinner cooked by your favorite italian grandma :). My fave item was always their lasagna, but everything I've had has been impeccable. Please find a way to come back!!! :'(

Amazing gnocchi. Amazing wine list. Great prices. The Chocolate cake is heaven on a little plate. I dream of their bechamel lasagna often also. Ambience is very your grandmother's kitchen! Recommend X 100!

Hard to get in, but the owner is awesome. Bring cash it is worth it. Order for your girl, because the prices are on the menu and if you order for her, she won't see it . . . thus making her think you are spending a lot. Great ambiance. Great food. Great price. GEt the lasagna.
