A “low-key fave” in a “chic” address off Madison Avenue, this Gallic Eastsider caters to “fashionable” folk with “Parisian intimacy” and “quite good” French bistro fare dispensed in a “snug” setting; tabs are “expensive” , but a “fantastic” owner and “convivial staff” keep customers satisfied.

At the time I visited NYC I found this pet friendly restaurant and had a wonderful experience with the staff, atmosphere and food! Sorry to see this permanently closed! I would have loved to eat here again avec mon chat, Monsieur Dexter!

Wow, this place is truly amazing. The food, the staff, the environment- it all exceeded our expectations! The food was full of flavor, the ambiance was quaint and romantic, and Johanna and the wait staff were attentive and incredibly friendly. We really felt special and look forward to our next night out at Chat Noir. Take a beautiful woman, order a bottle of wine, get the duck and the rack of lamb, and enjoy yourself... you deserve it.

Always loved this place, the service, atmosphere and food. Super-bummed it closed.
