The Blaxican MexSoul Restaurant
Basic pit stop for Southern-Mexican food

There's nothing fancy about this hole-in-the-wall find tucked into an East Roswell strip mall, but look to the giant truck painted on the wall to know why. With its origins in one of the city's more recognizable food trucks, this mostly takeaway spot (there are a few stools if you want to dine right away) is the brick-and-mortar purveyor of Southern soul food and Mexican mashups – think jalapeño mac 'n' cheese or burritos bursting with collards and barbecue.

Finally got to try Blaxican MexSoul Food. I have missed this truck at food festivals for years and today we found out that they now have a store front restaurant. We were greeted by the owner who told us about each menu item and how it was made. He was so nice and personable. We ordered the special (shrimp tacos with cucumber pico), fish, steak, and pork. Oh my goodness, all the tacos were delicious. Each had perfect complementary flavors. We are so happy we finally got our taste-and we will be going back to try other menu items soon! Great service and great food makes for a great experience!!!! Loved it!

Delicious food, great service. Food always comes out quickly and is consistently good, no matter what you try on the menu. So good I ate twice in the same week. Prices are fair, $11 for three tacos and portions are a decent size. Two tacos and a side for about $9 is a good deal as well. The mac and cheese was tasty and not spicy, although it has a nice jalapeno flavor.

02/24 - First time trying Blaxican. We order #1 $9 for 3 tacos. I picked sausage, steak and pastor. The flavor was very good. The down side was the price. Basically $3 per taco for the size of the taco and the amount of meat each taco had... I just expected more. We also order the Philly steak nachos $9. The flavor of the steak was good, but it literally had 7 pieces of meat. They are served in the same little paper tray as the tacos. You can get the same $9 nachos at any other restaurant and get a plate full with lots of meat, melted cheese, jalapeños, etc... Now, the place was clean, the staff was very friendly, we only waited for like 10 minutes for our food. One thing for sure, try the sweet has a hint of peach and it's delicious.
