The Zagat Review
A true “farm-to-table pioneer” , Dan Barber’s Village American “does a magnificent job” producing “unbelievably fresh and flavorful” American fare with “thoroughly satisfying” seasonal “integrity” ; set in a “lovely, calm” room run by an “especially caring” staff, it “isn’t cheap” but the performance is “worth repeat visits.”

This restaurant is an amazing farm to table dining experience! if your want flavor and a quaint dining experience, I highly recommend it. May sure to make a reservation before you visit. Also, It can be on the pricey side but it is worth it! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and so friendly. My husband I have several food allergies, the waiter alerted the kitchen staff and the main chef came to our table. He explained were every ingredient came from and what substitutes they offered. Our plate(s) were amazing, each one that came out just got better and better. Just writing this review, I am remembering all the flavor from my meal and I want so much to experience it again! Make sure to also check out their wine and cocktail menu!

I have been to Blue Hill twice and both times I walked away feeling like I had just had the meal of a lifetime! Not only is the service here impeccable, the menu to die for and their food presentation on point, but it's a great place to go to for a romantic date, a group dinner with friends who have a finer palette than your typical happy hour crowd and also a phenomenal restaurant to go to when the 'rents are in town. I suggest opting for one of their stylized multi-course meals, which is truly worth the investment. Their sommelier was knowledgeable and found us fantastic wine selections to go with our meals! It was truly a fine dining experience and their wonderful take on farm to table is a breath of fresh air for a culinary foodie like myself! I look forward to returning!

This unique restaurant is so elegant in a casual, friendly way. The food is something you will not find anywhere else. All choices are farm to table fresh and tasty. We enjoyed lamb, grass fed beef, Jerusalem artichoke, and sweet potato. The bread—baked with Barber wheat—was the best bread we’ve ever had. The waitstaff in this restaurant are well informed about the food, healthy eating and the friendliest we’ve ever experienced. Eating at Blue Hill is an event for foodies.
