“First-class” fish in “creative and classic” combos makes for “dazzling” sushi at these Japanese “go-tos” by the brothers Bromberg; you’ll also find brasserie favorites (like “surprisingly good fried chicken” ) at some locales, and while the SoHo original is more “minimalist” than the rest (minus the Hudson Eats counter), all will cost you a “chunk of change.”

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I found this place on Google and saw that it was a $$ place and 4 1/2 stars. So I had to go check it out. The place was beautiful, a bit small but that is Manhattan for you. When I went to look at the menu I was a bit taken aback by the prices. In my opinion I would rate this sushi place a $$$. The selection of sushi all looked amazing but a bit higher then I am use to paying for sushi. So my boyfriend ordered a salad and I ordered one of there combos. Sadly we left that place still very hungry and having to pay a large bill. I love sushi and the fish did taste amazing. I believe this was the first time I enjoyed eating a California roll. They make it with blue crab meat absolutely delicious. I don't deny that the food was delectable my only critique was the portion sizes. Enjoy!

This restaurant is very small, table are put very close to each others, there is a very little space between rows. If the restaurant is full, it's impossible to hear your partner talking, so you have to yell. People passing by to get to bathrooms, sometimes hit you with purses, because of lack of space. My experience overall was not good as it was very crowded, but I can't complain about service or quality of food. Staff were polite, fast, helpful; food - was delicious; prices - a bit too high(for the experience I had). If you want to try it anyway, my advise to visit it when there is not much people.

Great, extremely welcoming staff. Offered to check our belongings, very laid-back atmosphere. Little things like, the fact that one of the cooks walking by gestured toward the correct restroom, as it's a bit ambiguous, or that when I had the orange clam sashimi, and wanted to venture to a different type, the server leveled with me and said that's the orange was their best one. Great tasting cuts of fish, salmon roe was great. Would go again, great lighting and atmosphere. Small, but not cramped. Cozy.
