Service

“Small and cozy” , this UWS neighborhood Med is the “real deal” for “inexpensive” dining on “stellar” Turkish meze and “tasty thin-crust pizza” ; though service is “speedy” , it's often “crowded and cramped” , so insiders flee to the “outside tables.”

Bodrum in my neigborhood is true find. This has been our go to restaurant since Saigon closed few years back for good atmosphere, decent service, and really good consistent food. I tried to get a reservation on Open Table, nothing early, so called, and they were able to seat us at 5:15pm with a 6:45pm limit. Went there last night (Mon.) with friend for early dinner. This is not a promotion type restaurant, and to our surprise bottles of wine were 50% off -Wine Monday. Immediately when we sat down, one of the servers brings over delicious strips of warm bread for dipping in olive oil and olives on table. She continue to bring over bread throughout meal. We order a chopped salad as an appetizer along with the humus, not terribly original, but no complaints. My daughter says best hummus ever, but all subjective. I order the stuffed cabbage - a standard for me. So so delicious, 3 very large stuffed cabbages, with broiled tomatoes separating each. The cabbage covered a yoghurt sauce..Not heavy at all, really interesting flavors. My friend had lamb chops perfectly cooked either 3 or 4 and she was raving. We opted for baklava for dessert. Was not sitting in heavy syrup which is great, and accompanied by rum raisin ice cream..No complaints this time

Great place with an inventive and tasty menu and a good atmosphere. Music is good though it doesn't entirely mesh with the feel of the restaurant. Only real complaint was that my food (the salmon) wasn't as rare as I requested/ordered, but it was still delicious. Will go back again!

This is a cozy restaurant on the upper west side. The decor inside is lovely. We ordered hummus, adana kebab, and chicken sis kebab. My friend really enjoyed her chicken sis kebab! The bread they serve is so warm and delicious!
