Bostonia Public House
Lively New England eatery & bar
New England · Financial District · $$$
The Zagat Review
'Restaurant: Impossible' designer Taniya Nayak has transformed the historic Board of Trade building into this “nice-looking” bi-level American brasserie serving glossy updates on New England classics; though some find it “expensive for what it is” , the Financial District’s suit-and-tie set still turns up regularly for the live music in its “noisy” downstairs bar.

One of my favorite brunch spots in Boston. They have a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, all in a spacious spot near the aquarium in State Street. There's live music on the weekends, which brings up the volume a notch but is great entertainment. If you want to catch a sports game, there's TVs throughout that you can watch without it being obnoxious. All of the food I have had has been outstanding. I would recommend you trying the short rib biscuit & gravy or the Bailey's cinnamon French toast. Both left me full and satisfied for days. There's lots of regular tables with plenty of seats at the bar as well. The service has been great each time to top it off. If you're in town visiting or a regular Bostonian, check this place out for brunch.

This was a fantastic restaurant from start to finish. The atmosphere was updated and charming. We had comfortable seating with a view of the kitchen. The food and drinks were fantastic. The wait staff had us laughing and kept the meal delivery flowing. There was live music and a good vibe throughout the night.

Food here was very good, and filling. Waitstaff extremely attentive. Ridiculously expensive however; I've literally never had to pay 20$ for pancakes, eggs and coffee before. Very good food, and staff is attentive, but something doesn't sit right with me about having to pay $20 for a basic breakfast. I wont say not to go here, but I will say that The Friendly Toast in Cambridge and Uncommon Grounds in Watertown are better, AND cheaper.
