Bourbon & Banter
Hip speakeasy inside retro-chic hotel
Bar · Downtown · $$
The main bar component at The Statler in downtown Dallas brings loads of fun and whimsy to the cocktail menu, which includes an old fashioned with a crunchy sugar top that you break with a hammer. The speakeasy-style space requires a secret code that has to be entered into a phone booth to allow guests access, which adds a nice bit of mystery and retro hipness that fit the revitalized late-1950s-era hotel property concept perfectly.

Beautiful drinks, friendly bartenders within a cozy Atmosphere. Bartenders we're friendly and helpful. Each speciality cocktail was $12 plus. Small plates available. If you can find this place just ask someone by the front desk. You need a code to get in.

This is a great new place. Awesome drinks with knowledgeable bartenders. This is a dark liquor bar and doesn’t have your regular drinks. It is mostly whiskey and mezcal and has some lighter drinks but I’m all about it. My only negative is price and some of the staff are not that friendly. This might change but for now it’s unfortunate to have rude people working. Of course I was just wearing a t-shirt...

Came here because of a friend recommendation. Just like yelp puts it "A- OK"! Seating at the bar is limited so grab a seat if you can! Very neat menu! Well organized and short! I quickly noticed because it was right there in front of me that they leave opened avacados on the bar and leave them to get black. If I am paying a lot of money for a drink I better get some fresh avocado. This place is nice, great ambiance, and fun bartenders. But the whiskey/bourbon competition is high in dallas. This would not be my favorite. Still a very fun place!
