Branch Line
Homestyle Mediterranean cooking & wines
Bar · $$
Slow-roasted meats and slow-cooked veggies are the crux of this "fantastic" Watertown brasserie, where the open kitchen's centerpiece rotisserie spins out "excellent" Mediterranean-influenced dishes to pair with the big bar's roster of Continental wines and an "amazing" beer selection; listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the "beautiful" setting retains its brick Federalist architecture, updated with "clever" "industrial" decor, floor-to-ceiling windows, a heated patio and a bocce court.

Food was nice but the dessert was the worst ever. I've been there multiple times for rotisserie chicken and snap pea salad. Good outdoor patio seating. We had dessert, but don't remember the name, it was chocolate something. It was hard as rock. Can't even cut. Top was stiff butter cream, bottom was even harder chocolate. I had to leave major portion of it. Didn't taste complex or delicious, rather it was like a edible cardiac arrest.

Excellent food, beer, wine and ambiance. Branch Line has to be my favorite spot in Watertown, I’m never let down when I go. You can’t go wrong with the rotisserie chicken and snap pea salad but the prime rib was a game changer. The beer program is incredible, they usually have kegs of Trillium (what more do you need) along with other rare or less known breweries. The outside seating and bocce court is also a huge bonus in the summer.

A quality establishment, with friendly and attentive staff, inventive dishes, and excellent drinks. Affordable takeout dishes recently added make for a well rounded experience.
