"Come hungry" to this "wonderful" all-day follow-up to Brenda's French Soul Food, where the "authentic Southern cooking" includes a "supremely filling" selection of "swell" "staples" like the signature fried chicken paired with "pretty fantastic" sides; "good value" and a "charming staff" help draw crowds to the "small diner" digs, so "expect a wait for the weekend brunch."

Best biscuits in San Francisco in the morning. The sweet potato pancakes and Banana Foster French toast specials are also breakfast highlights. At night, you primarily order one meat and three sides from the board, which changes daily. Meat options often include fried chicken, ribs, fried catfish, and chicken-fried steak. Side options often include garlic spinach, greens, yams, succotash, mac & cheese, and a biscuit. You can get an all-sides dinner and several are usually marked vegetarian or vegan.

My husband and I were staying at an Airbnb around the corner and just happened upon this place. Hands down some of the best comfort food I've had in a minute. Plates were always too big to finish and everything came out just look beautiful! We ended up having breakfast there every day before heading out.

Best meal I had in San Francisco. Classic comfort food in friendly, cosy restaurant. Excellent service too. We waited only 30 minutes for a table, not bad for SF!
