The Zagat Review
“Nostalgia” and seasonal ice cream flavors add up to “a lot of fun” at this Carroll Gardens homage to “old-school soda shops” , where the sundaes, egg creams and such – plus “simple, satisfying” diner staples – are “expertly” dispensed by “friendly” staffers; housed in a “beautiful” restored apothecary, it's “retro” to the core.

Great old time feel for ice cream and soda fountain. Has a pretty big selection of ice cream and sundaes that you can order as well as a small selection of food. There is also a place to buy merchandise or weigh yourself on an old time scale, after you eat your ice cream! Staff was friendly and knowledgable and able to help decide which ice cream or dish to get. Clean restrooms and nice decor will have you coming back again and again.

The best in the area! Friendly staff, a very cozy environment, and crazy good desserts. Large variety of sundaes, sodas treats, etc. and an area in the back with board games you can play with your family. One of my all time favorite spots!

Best ice cream parlor in Brooklyn! I almost forgot what century we were in, aside from the clothes we wear but it was super retro. You come in and order a sundae from the "jerks" and just sit back and enjoy the sundae. It's just you and some good ice cream without any TVs or futuristic ice cream machines. The ice cream was delicious, super creamy and creative. My girlfriend and I ordered the brownie sundae and broken dreams, both were delicious. Next time I have to try the 99 problems, it looked crazy! There's nothing bad to say about this place, the vintage pharmacy feel coupled with the old fashioned ice cream parlor really makes the ice cream taste all the better.
