The "exotic flavors of Burma" are showcased at this "destination" chainlet where the seemingly "flown-in-from-Rangoon" offerings are both "flavorful" and "inexpensive" (the "sublime" tea-leaf salad is a "must-order" item); given its "ridiculously popular" status, expect "ever-present" lines, but those who "believe the hype" are willing to "endure the wait."

Delicious food and wonderful experience. My mom and I sat at the bar and the staff was so nice and attentive! We had the famous tea leaf salad which lived up to its promise. I had it once to go, but didn’t like it as much, so I’d definitely recommend getting it when you can enjoy it here. We also had the chicken curry noodle soup and the lemongrass salmon - both delicious! My mom doesn’t even like spicy food or Asian flavors, but she loved it! Which is truly a miracle because she’s really picky and these are different flavors than your classic American or European food. Highly recommend coming here when you’re in the area.

Don't sit at the bar. I felt the bartender rushed me into making a decision and seemed kind of sexist (openly complimented a waitress on her weight and behaved dismissively towards another waitress who asked him a question about an order). Overall could have been a better experience if the atmosphere was more professional/respectable and not so rushed. Definitely sit at a table for a better experience.

Oh my heaven....this is it. I'd heard plenty about this place, so I had high expectations, but even those were blown away, this place is that good. It's so good that the prices that seemed high before I ate were fantastically logical once I understood the quality of the meal I ate. Pea shoots, samosa things, special salad, coconut rice, spicy noodles...all so good I've wanted to go back every day since. Best meal I've had in the Bay area by far...probably the best meal I've had in years.
