Upscale steakhouse with oysters & drinks
Steakhouse · $$$$
This elegant modern steakhouse in The Battery comes courtesy of restaurateur Linton Hopkins (Restaurant Eugene, Holeman & Finch) and sports a relaxed bar in addition to its main dining room replete with sizable booths and eye-catching artwork. The robust food veers classic, with Southern flair and seasonal local ingredients; an external walk-up window shucks fresh oysters on the weekends.

Chef Linton & Gina Hopkins hit it out of the ballpark with this fine dining experience at The Battery. The succulent steaks melt in your mouth full of flavor & perfectly paired with a strong wine list. Tomahawk cut is a beast. Love the walk up oyster bar outside the stadium entrance for game days.

We ventured over here for dessert after having dinner at another restaurant nearby, and we were not disappointed. Our server was thoughtful and engaging with just the right amount of attention and discretion to the conversation. His suggestions for our dessert choices were spot on. The chocolate cake was warm and crumbly, yet moist but not to the point of being wet. The little key lime cheesecake tart was a delightful treat of tangy goodness and that bacon caramel popcorn sundae is worth returning for all by itself. Can’t wait to return to try the full menu!

This was a difficult rating because the restaurant is so new. Definitely some kinks to work out. One of those kinks was the service. Room for improvement given the price points. As for the food, the caeser salad was a real low point but they made up for it with the rest of the meal. The bread service, steak, and sides were top notch.
