Cafe Amelie
Modern Louisiana eats & a romantic vibe
Southern American · French Quarter · $$
The Zagat Review
This "romantic" French Quarter "hideaway" boasts a lush courtyard whose "relaxing atmosphere is the essence of the city" , a "gorgeous" spot to partake of "exceptionally prepared" Contemporary Louisiana cuisine; there's also indoor seating available in a "rustic" carriage house, but either way, service is "attentive" and Saturday and Sunday brunch is "awesome."

Went during December. Great little cozy courtyard with nice lighting. Ambiance was perfect for conversation. Not too loud and you could speak normal to be heard. Food from appetizers to entrees were all amazing. Top it off with great service, and it was a nice date experience. Great cocktails as well.

By far THE best place to go to in New Orleans. They have a romantic courtyard patio in front of the restaurant where you can eat as well as drink their amazing cocktails. By far the best muffaletta sandwiches in New Orleans hands down. I think it's the bread they use, it's not the traditional sesame bread but this buttered fluffy yet toasty bread. It's amazing. The general manager I forgot his name, chatted with us after our lunch and he was incredibly helpful/insightful regarding other places to eat at. We loved it so much, that we decided to end our trip here once again for dinner. Another huge bonus is that they are incredibly dog friendly thanks to their courtyard area. In short, if you want a dog friendly/cozy and romantic place to eat at while in New Orleans I highly recommend this place!

Really beautiful outdoor space, which was even more romantic when the sun set. The service here is very friendly, and the food was delicious. I had the pork chop and grits from the standard dinner menu, which was very filling. (They also have specials to consider as well, such as a daily pasta, soup, and cocktail.) Great dinner in the French Quarter. Would recommend if you’re in the area!
