A “revamp of a New York classic” , this update of a circa-1915 Greenwich Village cafe focuses on “sophisticated” Italian fare and “amazing” cocktails (including an entire Negroni menu); the original’s “old-school” charm has been updated with whitewashed brick walls and a restored tin ceiling.

Food was good so props to the chef. Service was not on par as we repeatedly had to call for wait staff (they were a bit busy chatting amongst themselves). There was one waiter that completely ignored our raised hand though he saw it (he may have been a bartender but did not relay the message to the wait staff). Also auto 20 percent tip; a bit high for subpar service. Recommended food items are French toast and the Italian platter. Do not recommend the salmon bowl as it as way too salty.

Loved this place, I walked in and got a perfect corner table facing the live band playing, who were great. I had a wonderful cocktail and appetiser and sadly had to go after that, I wish I could have stayed longer but I will be back. Great ambiance, great service and great food and drinks

Stellar cocktails (the Unlikely Negroni is one of the best in the city) and friendly bar staff. Food is good, especially for a group. Negroni Hour from 3-6pm every day is tops.
