Amazing vegan restaurant. The food was beyond amazing well at least what I had (Wild Mushroom Crepe). My wife had the the spaghetti and wheat balls which I tried as well. By the way my wife isn't even vegan she just came to try it with me and she is picky but she loved the dish so that extremely made me happy to be able to share that experience with her. The waiters where extremely helpful, polite, and just amazing. Definitely recommend this place and yes I will be back.

Fantastic spot! We were from out of town and celebrating an anniversary, so I looked up nice vegan restaurants and Candle 79 came up. We were running late for our reservation, but they were super understanding. The drinks were phenomenal. We had a couple of very tasty starters, the ravioli and one that our server (Jenny) listed as a special for the evening (if I recall correctly, it had fried artichoke and fiddlestick ferns). The entrees were superb as well. We hate that we had to rush through dinner to get to our show on time, but we will most definitely be coming back the next time we are in New York!

My first choice for the best in vegan/vegetarian dining. This upscale gourmet vegan restaurant is the ultimate experience. Posh setting feels luxurious - red velvet and dark woodwork make you feel like you are truly out on the town. Get to the menu and there are simply TOO MANY EXCELLENT CHOICES! I’ve eaten there a half dozen times and still can’t say I’ve tasted everything that appeals to me. The desserts are over the top and provide the perfect finish to a meal worth boasting and bragging. I bring friends here I want to impress who appreciate the best and are socially conscious. Two thumbs up.
