“Amazing twists” on “old-school” Italian cooking (including “life-changing” rigatoni) make for a serious “feast” at this “clubby” Village “destination” , where the “classic” decor, “nattily dressed” servers and “throwback” soundtrack will take you back to “Little Italy of the ’50s” ; the bill might “set off the smoke alarm” (beware the specials), but reservations still remain “too hard to get.”

Excellent food. Excellent service! Our waitress told us were to go for some late night cocktails..The place looked nice inside. Parking was free. They had an outdoor seating area with a beautiful fountain for warmer days! Good job guys. 5.stars! Highly recommended!!

Basically reservation only. I was really excited to try this place. I made my reservation one month in advance as suggested and received confirmation that day. When we showed up we were not disappointed. The decor was nice and the staff was friendly. The food fell short. For those prices and exclusivity, I was expecting to be blown away. The food was good, but definitely not the best Italian I've had even outside of the city. Save your money for a restaurant with better tasting food.

A terrific meal and experience; I highly recommend it. In fact, I loved Carbone. After one meal, it s already one of my favorite places to eat in the city--although I doubt I will be back often considering the price tag, it is entirely worth it and excellent. The food: simply delicious.
