Service

“Ay caramba” , these “popular” taquerias are about as “legitimate” as you'll find in these parts, slinging “above-average” tacos in “funky” quarters; “bargain” tabs and “Downtown” vibes keep them “overwhelmingly busy” , so expect service that's “cheerful” but “not very polished.”

AWFUL!!! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! THE OWNER MUST READ THIS... My husband and I came to the restaurant on a Friday night at 9pm and sat at the bar. We had two margaritas, and two appetizers before ordering tacos. The bartender was great, but the manager was very rude to us. When my husband and I kissed, the manager ran over and said we "can't do that here because it's a family establishment". I mean... we had a date night on a Friday night at a restaurant and not a church. We weren't rude, lewd, or groping - we had a few kisses and eventually we were asked to leave.. The bartender gave us a check when we were waiting on our main dishes.. I told him that we didn't ask for a check, and he said the manager told him to settle our tab. At this point the manager was at the front of the restaurant texting on his phone and not even acknowledging us. When we asked him what was the issue, he said "I told you to stop kissing, you have to leave now." I was shocked!!! People around turned around and stared at the manager as he raised his voice.. We obviously felt very uncomfortable and unwanted, and left immediately. In hindsight, we didn't do anything wrong and I felt we were discriminated because the manager just didn't like us. The couple sitting next to us kissed as well, and they weren't asked to leave. I'm just flabbergasted that terrible manages like that are allowed to run a business. And by the way, when I asked the manager if I could speak to the owner, he said "I'm the owner and I'm telling you to get out." SHOCKING! Can the real owner write back and explain this to me, because I'm very unclear that you cannot kiss at restaurants. (The manager was a short guy with a beard and glasses.) Date visited: 4/27, 9pm.

Good place to hang out for happy hours. Outdoor space available during summer time. It provides contemporary Mexican dishes. My favorite taco is Carne Asada. $10 lunch special menu comes with one appetizer and 2 tacos. Good place to hang out for brunch with friends.

This place rocks! Great food and drinks. Go during the day and see Vandel behind the bar. I was having a really bad day and she made me a mango margarita that saved my day.
