Street-food-inspired Asian eats
Asian · Speer · $$
Drawing inspiration from the street-food culture of Southeast Asia, chef-owner Lon Symensma's repertoire traverses Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia for meals and happy-hour bites accompanied by sake, Asian-inspired cocktails, teh tarik "pulled tea" and traditional Vietnamese coffee. The Baker hot spot's strikingly detailed decor complements the menu, featuring everything from yoke baskets to charcoal wallpaper that mimics the texture of rice paper.

Waited about 5 min to be seated because there was 1 person up front (with nobody helping her) taking my phone reservations, then were lazily greeted by a waiter who seemed to not really give a F about anyone. Food was alright. Overpriced and not really fantastic or even good. Buns were pretty awesome but the pork belly was charred. Burnt-bitter! The satays seemed like rubbery meatballs and didn’t taste like satay at all. Green curry was actually pretty good! Service? EH at best. Food? Alright. Value? Not there. Ended my experience with getting a drink poured over my jacket right as we were leaving. Won’t be back.

My favorite childhood memories are of the weekends our family spent fishing at Grandpa Andy's farm pond. We brought home fresh bass, catfish, perch and frogs. Those memories are the main reason I dine at Cho 77! They have the best froglegs I have tasted during the 40 years I have lived in Denver! Larry Wheeler

Cozy, intelligent atmosphere and solid selection of plates. Could use a few more taps but no complaints otherwise. Super friendly staff too.
