Offering a “classy” riff on Singaporean street food, this “friendly” West Villager from Simpson Wong (of erstwhile Café Asean) turns out “solid” dishes with some “surprising” flavors; service can be “spotty” and the “small” , space can be “tightly packed” , but it works for a “quick, inexpensive meal.”

I went to Chomp Chomp seeking South East Asian street food and I was mightily rewarded every single time. Try anything on the menu that suits your fancy (Prawns!) and some that don't (Pork belly) and improve your foodie soul. The stingray in banana leaf was a delight and transported me back to Calcutta. Their cocktails were amazing too. We took the casual dining part literally and sat at the bar and nibbled and sipped and chatted with the bartender and our evening could not have been better!

Good spot for a dinner with friends: original dishes to share and reasonably priced; not a ton of vegetarian options if I remember correctly. No wait for a small group on a weeknight. I would go back if I'm in the area.

Food was good. Had some good distinct flavor . The thing I don't like is the way the tables are. Too close together to not allow some semblance of privacy . Other than that service was professional and friendly and decor was comfortable especially with the dim lighting.
