There's an "Old New Orleans" vibe at this "special" , brick-walled CBD steakhouse, where "perfectly cooked" prime beef is paired with "excellent" appetizers (diners "would eat there just for the bread" ), "delicious" family-style sides and "strong drinks" ; yes, it's "on the pricey side" , but "unpretentious" , "wonderful" service adds value, contributing to an overall "fantastic experience."

The food was wonderful, staff was great, and the live piano music was charming. We had sticker shock when receiving the bill as seafood prices fluctuate and not listed- the most expensive meal we've ever eaten. I would rate the restaurant as $$$ We also ordered a $36 steak but sides are not included, a little disappointed in that. We were a bit under-dressed. Overall a good experience, but a hard lesson on our part.

I have to say I’m highly disappointed with this place quality wise. First off, there are only a few items on the menu. The price with the steak did not come with a side. You have to order it separately. $62 for a 22 oz. steak, you have a choice of getting it broiled or creole style flavor. Get your wallet ready! I don't mind paying for top dollar meal but I seriously don't think this is the place to drop $120 for 2 appetizers, 2 water with lemon, and two 16 oz. steak with no sides. Can you imagine if we got asparagus or a baked potato on the side? The check would probably be almost $160. I ordered broiled, it's a shame. The steak was cooked perfectly on the inside. However, the outer layer tasted too charred, burnt, as if I'm eating burnt charcoal. I had to literally cut off the outside part and ate the center, smh. The lump crab appetizer was good. The service was superb. I don't see myself coming back.

The best steaks in New Orleans, no doubt about it. Nice and friendly staff. The meat was outstanding.
