A "home away from home – with better cooking than home" – this "super-popular" mini-chain is a "staple" for fans of "consistent" American comfort food and "good value" ; since it’s like "eating in a cozy diner in a small town" , regulars don’t mind the "loud" decibels and "hit-or-miss" service.

One of my favorite restaurants/bars in the city when I want a nice meal, a pint, and some peace. Chow has a unique, quirky SF charm to it in an old school setting. The food is healthy but delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is super friendly, along with the inviting ambiance. I was sad to see the Sunset location shut down but so thankful Church is going strong!

Seasonal menus with a great welcoming atmosphere. Great daily specials and appetizers to die for! I cannot say enough good about this restaurant it's one of my personal favorites. Not a good place to drive to it's on Market @ Church street so the traffic and parking is abysmal.... Just a heads up!

Great service! As a person with allergies it’s important that I get exactly what I order. They did a great job! I had the spinach salad without walnuts or dressing, add almonds. I also had a bowl of minestrone. Everything about the salad was perfect. Fresh, crisp greens and crisp apples with just the right amount of feta. I didn’t give it five stars because although really good o would not call it outstanding or memorable.
