Service

Cindy Wolf and Tony Foreman hit "on all cylinders" with this Harbor East Italian (across the street from their Charleston), which has an "exquisite baronial" dining room on one side and a "rustic" enoteca on the other, both offering a "consistently exceptional" , daily changing menu (including "excellent" housemade charcuterie) and a "deep" wine list; "attentive, knowledgeable" service is de rigueur, and though it costs "big bucks" , think of it as a chance to "wear your Armani suit."

A combination of great service and delicious food made for an excellent dining experience. The staff knew the menu very well and made very good recommendations. I was leaning towards the rabbit but the waiter had recommended the duck so I went on his recommendation and I was not disappointed. The duck was exceptional. Even though the kitchen was a little behind, the staff made up for it by offering complementary prosciutto and after dinner drinks.

I dined at Cinghiale for the first time last night. The complimentary valet is extremely helpful and convenient. Ryan is the most amazing server. Everything about this dining experience was exquisite. The greeting, the delicious food, the wine pairings Ryan recommended, the presentation of the dishes, the quality of the meal- absolute perfection. I can't quite pick a favorite dish as each was outstanding but I especially loved the pheasant ravioli.

While the many restaurants of Little Italy are great for having a great plate of spaghetti and meatballs and other Italian-American favorites, Cinghiale is the place to go in Baltimore for a more authentic Italian fare. Overlooking the harbor, you can dine on a variety of northern Italian specialties, charcuterie and opulent deserts in a very formal yet comfortable setting. Recommend the price set menu to get a full complement of the menu. Prices are higher than other places, but are on par with the neighborhood. Reservations are recommended; especially on weekend nights.
