Bustling Chinese dim sum destination
Dim Sum · Downtown · $$
The Zagat Review
"It's all about the dim sum" at this Downtown mainstay, a "real find" for "solid" , "traditional" Chinese small plates at a "fair price" ; "quick" service via "constantly updated" carts that are "always on the flow" and an "airy, light" banquet-style setting make it especially "good for business lunches or group outings."

Good authentic dim sum. We got there right as they opened for lunch on a Friday, and we're glad we got there when we did! It is clearly a popular place, and for good reason. The Peking duck was amazing, as were the soup dumplings. We didn't try a bad dish. In all we ordered about 8 items between two people, left stuffed (take more people so you can split more things) and we're very happy with the experience.

Made reservations that we didn’t need for a 11:30am lunch. The restaurant is super clean and food carts came around quickly. The dumplings were excellent. The pork buns were a little heavy on the dough but tasty. The food in general is excellent. The location is a little tough to find, but it’s totally worth the search if you’re in the mood for dim sum. I’d go back any day.

Great food! Clean space! Good value. If you like to linger you may want to find elsewhere to perch, there are so many who want to eat as good as you just did, so lines form quickly once all white linen table tops are filled. Go with at least 3 people in your party, allows for more choices to arrive near your table. Comfortable though noisy, as it should be for the genuine effect. Don't forget were all tourists after a bit, even if we live here. The staff are perfunctory as expected of a dim sum palace such as the City View.
