For “amazingly delicious” soba “done right” , fans command you “go immediately” to these tiny noodle shops set in “unpretentious digs” just like “you'll find in Japan” ; while the staff is “friendly” , be prepared “for long waits at peak time” ; P.S. the NoLita outpost's next-door sib, Goemon Curry, focuses on Japanese curry.

I've become a big fan of all of the Cocoron restaurants downtown. I always have a difficult time ordering b/c everything seems so good! The wait staff is very attentive and have never steered me wrong when I'm indecisive in ordering. On my last visit I ordered their signature Mera Mera Cold Dip Soba and it didn't disappoint. The presentation was beautiful and broth was so flavorful. I don't even care that soba has health benefits - it's just really good food!

Excellent soba in a welcoming, if minimal, environment. Also have some lovely sake and the best green tea ice cream I've had.

Came here with my vegan gf looking for goemon. Didn't realise we we're in the wrong place until we ordered but really glad we made the mistake. Tons of veg options and a completely new dining experience. Only real problem is that it was cash only
